Data Entry Operator – Computer Training Center

Dear Chris, Todd and Heija, and Rupali,

Sumitra hails from a very poor family and lives with her parents.

With an ailing father who cannot contribute, the family survives on the mother’s meagre income who works as a maid servant.

Having completed her intermediate course, Sumitra took up a job which barely helped cover the basic needs of the family. Since pursuing higher education was unthinkable, Sumitra enrolled for the computer training course conducted by the HOPE Trust in Hyderabad.

On completion, Sumitra was offered a job as the Data entry operator at an Internet Cafe. Today, she draws a salary of Rs.3,500 ($78) a month and supports her family, thereby making her parents proud!
