Lokesh is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business commerce in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. He is currently in his final year at the Silver Jubilee College, located near the town of Ramanthapur. His parents, Venkat Rao and Ravanamma, both work to try and make a living. His father is a carpenter and yet they still face financial problems on a daily basis.
While Lokesh is pursuing his bachelor’s, his ultimate goal is to support his family. After graduation, he wants to pursue an MBA so that he can acquire a stable job.
Lokesh is doing everything he can to succeed and the HOPE Computer Learning Center in Tarnaka has been an integral part of this process. Hope Computer Training Centers offer three-month computer courses to youth from disadvantaged backgrounds. 400 youths graduate from the Centers every year, finding jobs where they can earn $45 per month. Lokesh is excited to learn important programming tools and is grateful for the amazing teaching at the center. He says that the faculty give each individual attention so they can truly improve.
Thank you, Tom and Sarah, for helping Lokesh on his quest to provide for his family.
