Sumitra hails from a very poor family and lives with her parents.

With an ailing father who cannot contribute, the family survives on the mother’s meagre income who works as a maid servant.

Having completed her intermediate course, Sumitra took up a job which barely helped cover the basic needs of the family. Since pursuing higher education was unthinkable, Sumitra enrolled for the computer training course conducted by the HOPE Trust in Hyderabad.

On completion, Sumitra was offered a job as the Data entry operator at an Internet Cafe. Today, she draws a salary of Rs.3,500 ($78) a month and supports her family, thereby making her parents proud!

Vinay Kumar hails from a family with an income of Rs. 1,500 ($35) per month. His father who is a salesman was the sole bread-winner of the family thus making it difficult for them to fulfill their basic needs.

Having failed his intermediate examinations, a dejected Vinay joined HOPE Computer Training Centre to learn computers.After completing the course, he was offered a job as the cashier in a restaurant.

Today, Vinay earns Rs. 3,500/- ($80) per month which is more than double the amount that his father earns and has done him proud by supporting the family.

Your support for a computer training course for Moses has brought smiles to his life! Moses is currently an undergraduate student. His father works a watchman and his small income makes it very difficult to support his large family of four children.

Thanks to your support, Moses learned computer skills at the HOPE CTC center in Hyderabad, India. After learning computers, he joined as a part time faculty at the HOPE foundation. Now he is earning Rs. 3,000/- ($65) per month and continuing his studies.

Thanks for your kind help and support that has provided a computer training for Sunitha, living in Hyderabad, India. Sunitha is one of four children and her dream has always been to study in an MBA program, but due to the small amount of money her family earned, she was unable to fulfill her dream.

After joining HOPE CTC in Hyderabad, she has learned computer skills and has now joined the faculty of the HOPE foundation! Now she earns Rs. 5,000/- ($110) per month and is continuing her MBA studies. She is very happy and thankful that with you support, she has been able to fulfill her dreams!

Swapna hails from a poor family in Hyderabad, India, and is a graduate of the three month Computer Training Course conducted by HOPE.

Having completed this class, she is now working at the HOPE Centre, teaching computers to children, as shown in this picture.

Chaitanya is a graduate hailing from a middle class family in Hyderabad. Her father is a sales representative, who supports his family of five on a monthly salary of Rs. 2,000/- (~$ 50).

She dreamed of becoming computer literate, so she could supplement the family income. She was apprehensive about joining the Computer Training Centre run by HOPE, because she is not fluent in English, and thought that would be the medium of instruction.

The faculty at HOPE helped her overcome her fears, and she learned the basics of DOS, Windows, MS-Office and the Internet from HOPE. Her confidence also improved, and she has now joined the faculty of M.H. Gupta High School on a monthly salary of Rs. 3,000 (~$ 75), where she teaches computers to the students.

She is very happy about the training she received from HOPE, because at one time she thought computers were tough to learn but now she is teaching it to others! She says “All these things happened just because of HOPE!”

Manju comes from a very poor family. Due to her financial problems, she had to stop her studies to work for her family. Her father is a vegetable vendor, who does not earn enough to support his family of five children.

Manju’s dream is to complete her MBA, so that she can get a good job. Through HOPE faculty, she came to know about HOPE’s computer training center. She was so happy to be able to learn more about computers to improve her career opportunities.

Now Manju works as a teacher at the Alpha Foundation, part of a well respected business school in India. She also hopes to continue her studies while working at this school!  Manju is very grateful to the support of Pradeep.  Thank you!

Pradeep is a native of Karimnagar District in India. His parents struggled as agricultural laborers to support him and his sister. He came to Hyderabad to look for a good job to support his family. He looked for jobs in accounting, but in each interview, he was told he needed computer skills.

Pradeep joined the HOPE Computer Training Center after hearing about it from friends. Before coming to HOPE, he did not even know what a computer was! He completed a class in accounting and MS Office. While he was attending the course at HOPE, he was able to secure a job interview!

Using what he learned during his course, he was able to secure the job, working with Accenture in Chennai. Pradeep expects his salary to be 14,000 Rupees ($300) a month! Thank you Anne, Josh, Josiah and Isaiah for your support of Pradeep!

Srinivas comes from a humble background; his father is a farmer in his village. Srinivas came to Hyderabad to stand on his own and joined a small office as an audit assistant earning a stipend of 1500 Rupees ($30) per month. At first, Srinivas did his accounting manually, but quickly realized that he needed to be working on a computer.

Srinivas joined the HOPE Computer Training Center to learn accounting. He successfully completed the 3 month course and now earns 5000 Rupees ($100) per month.  He now considers his life completely transformed as he owns a computer in his home and has just purchased a new bike to commute to work!

Srinivas says “Thank you! You really helped me to learn computers and now I am in good position because of HOPE”.

Swathi is 20, and before joining the HOPE Computer Training Center in Hyderabad, India, she had been unable to pursue her studies due to financial problems. Her father Yeshaiah works as an office assitant and her mother is working in a hospital as a cleaner.

Swathi enrolled with HOPE, and after sucessful completion of the three month course, she is now working as a data entry operator with Karvy, an online training business in India.  She now earns 5,000 Rupees ($100) a month, and is able to provide financial assistance to her family!
