Kantha Kumari’s story

Kantha Kumari
Dear George,

I am Kantha Kumari, an 18 year old teen studying in grade 10. My father’s name is Sukumar and he works in a School as an Attendant.  My mother is Home maker. We are 4 girls and I am the eldest. We are all dependant on my father’s salary. He earns Rs. 4,000/- ($ 90) per month. We don’t own a house, and stay in a rented house.

We have debts of around l lakh rupees ($ 2,500). Our grandparents  from the village help us financially, because we would not be able to manage on our own. All of us sisters are studying in government run schools, because we cannot afford to go to private schools. I would like to study further, but I know my family cannot afford it.

One day my father met Rajesh sir and came to know about HOPE foundation and the free courses offered by it. I immediately joined in DTP course and I am doing well. I look forward to finishing my course soon and get a job in a good company. I can then help my father financially, clear debts and study further.

Thank you, George, for sponsoring my computer course, which will help me and my family.

Durga’s dreams of helping her brother financially

Durga
Dear George,

I am Durga 23 years old student pursuing my B.A final year. We are 7 member in our family. My father is Karanlal who passed away 4 years back due to High B.P and paralysis. He used to work as a laborer when he was alive and took care of our needs. Mother is Homemaker. I have 3 sisters and 1 brother who are elder to me. All got married and settled in life. I am the youngest in the family. Presently my brother is working and earning Rs. 5,000 ($ 120) per month, with which he is taking care of our family needs, and paying off the debts of over Rs. 100,000 ($ 2,500) which were taken during the time of the marriages of my sisters. The responsibility of the whole family is on my brother. I have seen his misery in taking care of all our needs and I decided in my heart to work and help him financially.

When I went to search for job, I understood how important it is to have basic computer skills. Without knowing how to use a computer, you cannot get any job .

My friend, Baby told me about HOPE Foundation and courses offered by it. I have joined immediately in DCA course. I am sure this will fetch me a job and fulfill my desire to study further (i.e MBA), support my brother financially and save for my marriage.

Thank you, George, for paying for my entire computer course. You are a very generous man to help a girl like me, and give me hope in life.
